Peter Galloni OBITUARY

Peter Galloni passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at the age of 91. He touched and inspired many throughout his life.

Peter was born on September 25,1934 in Lowell, Massachusetts and moved with his family to San Pedro, CA when he was very young. He graduated high school from St Anthony’s in Long Beach where he began playing football. His love of the sport continued, playing for San Jose State University where he graduated in 1956. Peter met the love of his life, Frances, while the two were at San Jose State. They married in 1959 and welcomed their only son, Michael, in 1963.

Peter taught at 6 schools, and coached football and track at four within San Jose. He made a lasting impression on those he taught and coached throughout his career. He was a runner for many years before finding his passion for cycling. He cycled across the US and Europe. He was still long distance cycling into his 80s.

Peter is survived by his loving son, Michael Galloni, his brother, Joseph Galloni and his grandsons, Matthew (Amanda) and Nicholas Galloni as well as the extended family and friends. He is predeceased by his cherished wife of 65 years, Frances. His generous and loving spirit will be missed by all that knew him.
