Clara Bianchi OBITUARY
Clara Bianchi, a beloved lifelong resident of San Jose, passed away peacefully in her home on November 30, 2025, a few days before her 101st birthday. Born and raised in San Jose, she was the daughter of Vittoria and Carlo Bianchi, who were early settlers in the Santa Clara Valley. She is predeceased by her brothers and sisters – Velma Ginier, Louise Chiotti, Santino Bianchi, Domenic Bianchi and Margaret Petroni. She leaves behind nieces, Jeanne Bittel of San Jose, Dr. Paulette Ginier of Fresno, Joanie Jones of Orinda and nephew, David Chiotti of Santa Rosa.
Clara graduated from San Jose High School in 1939 and Healds Business College in 1942. She was a long time employee of San Jose State University, where she assisted the Dean of the School of Art and the Dean of the Summer Session Department.
Clara assisted her family in the Bianchi Brothers’ dehydration business and orchards. Their dehydration services served many Santa Clara Valley fruit growers for decades.
She was a dedicated lover of nature and animals. Her Christian faith was the pillar of her life. She was a strong supporter of many religious organizations and took great pleasure in her church activities and friends.
She will be missed by all those who knew her.
Clara will be laid to rest on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Oak Hill Memorial Park in San Jose, where a memorial service will be held at noon.
